It has been noticed by numerous Contour users in my company that the comment/recent activity window disappears when moving between project level/requirement lever, almost like it's going into hidden mode. To get the comment section back you must go and change the layout then drag the window back into view using the grab handles (the grab handles are not there when the window first disappears). Is this a bug that you know about? Is there anyway to make sure that the window stays in place as it's difficult for basic users to give input when they can not locate the comment section?
Thanks,
Nicole
I have a couple of questions on this and will give you a call.
Hey Derwyn,
Do you have an update or a correction for this? I am getting pressure on this issue as it's turning users away from Contour.
Thanks,
Nicole
This has been hard to reproduce but we have seen it. After reviewing this feature I think the answer is to remove it all together. It adds unnecessary complexity with little benefit. We'll evaluate doing this as a patch to the 2.4 which was just released. Let me know your thoughts.
Which feature are you talking about removing?
There is a feature in Contour when viewing an item to change the layout such that the tabs are located on the bottom, right, or hidden. This feature is the cause of the tabs being hidden intermittently. Down the road we may consider a better solution for changing the layout or location of areas like the tabs on the item.
