Recently, we've had some users who would like to do a bulk delete of items from a List View and they accidentally chose the "Delete Set" action from the upper-right of the frame, thinking it would delete the "set" they had selected. Well, things didn't work out as they planned. I know it's a bit of a training issue, but many users just find the first thing that says "Delete..." when they want to to delete and they end up doing things a bit more sweeping than they should really have rights to do. If access to the "Delete Set" could be limited to the project admin, that would be great. Adding sets isn't really a "destructive" process so that could be left open to the general user base. I know there is some discussion of allowing users to recover accidentally deleted items, but I hadn't heard about which version/when that would be scheduled.
Thanks!
Contour 2.4 (due out this month) will be implementing a new security model. This model allows us to create security around the sets as to who can read / write. While it will not be a feature of 2.4, we are shooting for 2.5.
As far as the UI goes, we agree that this area could use some improvement. We're going to be editing the UI to make deleting a set a little less mistake-prone.
