Table border not visible in word/pdf format

 

Hi!

 

 

I have created a report that extracts all the test cases for the different projects. We need to have this information in word format. When a test case is created there is a field, Test case, where the steps for how to execute the test case is entered. The information is entered in a table. When the report is generated the table border is not visible. Only the text entered in the table. You can see that there is a table there by moving the pointer over the text.  

 

 

How do I get the border around the table visible? It is no difference if I generate the report in word or pdf. If the report is generated in HTML format the table border is visible.

One trick that seems to work well with exporting a word report is to run the report in HTML, and save as an HTML only file (not a complete web page). Then, change the extension of the file that you saved from HTML to "doc". Word will open the html file and, most of the time, will render it properly.

 

If this does not work, there would be some information that I'd need to continue to work the issue.

 

1) Contour Version (e.g. 2.3.1)

2) Browser Version (e.g. Firefox or Internet Explorer 7)

 

Hopefully, the html trick will work.  Let me know if it does the trick.

Thank you so much for your help! The report looks fine in word. This will be a good workaround for us.

Glad to hear that worked.  I'll post this fix in the "Contour Reports & Templates" section of backstage.  This seems to help lots of reporting users.
