Users creating new projects

We recently had a bit of an issue with basic users (those with read/write access, but not admin) creating multiple versions of projects when trying to set up a new one. They are able to go through the process of creating the project but it then the newly created project does not show up in the project list because the users groups are not assigned to it yet. However, from the users point of view it looks like the procedure did not work and so they try again and again and again - all the while creating 5 versions of the project, none of which they can see until the admin assigns the user groups to it.

This seems like it could be a potential problem if multiple users begin doing this. Possibly only the administrator should have the ability to create projects .

Re: Users creating new projects

Sounds like users are copying projects without checking the "copy permissions" check box. Only Org Admin users can add projects, but any user with write access can copy their project. We should probably note somewhere on the "copy project" form that copying without permissions will cause this error.

Let me know if this is not the case, but this is my best guess.

We'll also be moving the copy project to an admin function.
