an extra space is added to a 'new line' and starting space is presented as new line

Hi,

I am using Contour 2.0 and have run in to the following problem:

When using new line in any multi line field this is presented OK, When I edit the page again the editable field is shown with an extra space in the beginning of the row after the new line.

When saving the starting space characters are shown as 'new line'.

Example.

I have a field where i want the text:

line 1

line 2

When save this its presented as:

line 1

line 2

When editing this again I get:

line 1

line 2

And when saving it is presented as:

line 1

line 2

When I have edited a few times I have an unreadable field with a lot of blank lines:-(

This also implies that I cannot have leading spaces in lines since these are shown as new lines...

Best regards

Henrik

The issue could be around the rich text editor. I've run into similar issues with the editor in these forums. We have spent a lot of time looking for the best rich text editor and the one in Contour is quite good but not perfect. With that said I tried to reproduce your scenario and it seemed to work fine. When you edit the item do you make any changes or just click on "edit" then save without changing anything.

We were able to duplicate the problem - though it's adding some spaces on our test system but I think it's the culprit.  Defect has been logged with a estimated target of 2.3 (next release) if not sooner.
