Define Tab Explorer

Whenever I add/edit an item, the explorer segement on the left updates the listing (particularly if I change the short name - a good thing.) However, while doing so, it 'jumps' such that the changed item is at the bottom of the scroll area. This is frustrating, particularly if I am going through a sequence of items and have to 'rescroll' to see the next item. Preferrede behavior would be to leave the scrolled point alone so the items don't 'jump'. Next best behavior would be placing the edited item in the middle of the scroll area, not the bottom.

Re: Define Tab Explorer

Thanks for the feedback. The jumping around stuff can certainly be disorienting. We are also working on ways of allowing you to utilize the grid more rather than the tree. So for example in Contour today you can turn off the items showing in the tree and then work off of the grid. From here we'd like to add functionality to allow you to return to the grid after editing an item (similar to how filters work today) or simply view the next or previous item in the list.
