Moving evaluation Contour from local machine to network server

I am currently evaluating Contour on my local machine with the free single seat license.  My manager would like to move Contour to a network server to enable read-only access for other users as well as for backup purposes.  What is the process for moving Contour from a local machine to a server?  I checked the Moving Contour help file, but I don't see the Backup Database tool menu item.

Re: Moving evaluation Contour from local machine to network server

Hi,

To use the XML export feature, log in a the server administrator - userId = root, password = password.  This is the default password and likely hasn't been changed.

From here click on tools, then Backup Database.  This will prompt you to save an XML file to your pc.

When you setup the new instance on the server, follow the production installation instructions and instead of loading the default data, load the XML file you've saved.  Here is a link to the Contour 1.7.4 Production Installation Guide.

We reccomend using MySQL rather than the embedded database for longer term evaluation.
