Bug: Prefix not shown correctly

See attached. Basicially a prefix (DUF) is consistantly shown as (F).

I tried to duplicate this but the various prefixes I tried are displaying correctly.  I tried DUF and longer versions.   To double check the flow... you are seeing this when you create a new item - and it saves with the prefix DUF, but in the grid view, it displays as F?

 

 

When you click on the individual item, is the ID displayed correctly as DUF or is it also displayed as F ?

These items were Imported, if that makes a difference. At one point, I allowed editing of those items.

 

 

New items have the correct prefix.

 

 

When showing the item, the 'bad' prefix is shown for the ID.

 

 

Looks like I have to manually go in and 'adjust' the prefix by hand, after enabling 'edit' of the ID.... true?

Yes - the prefix is used on newly created items, it doesn't go back and change pre-existing items. 

 

 

We'll give some thought to how users can mass re-order or update that field retroactively as I can see that need.
