Reports and trace relationships

Hi. When using the "Trace Relationships" type of report, I notice that it only reports traces in the forward direction. Some of my requirements trace to other requirements in both directions, so it would be nice to be able to have the report show both directions. Is there a simple way to do this?

If you are interested: We have a hierarchy of requirements: Science requirements are at the very top, followed by system requirements. System requirements are derived from the science requirements, but are still fairly implementation independent. Finally, we have functional requirements, which are derived from the system requirements and are implementation dependent. I would like to be able to show how the system requirements trace both up to the science requirements and down to the functional requirements.

Thanks,

Erik

Re: Reports and trace relationships

Hi Erik,

We have updated the trace report to show both directions for the upcoming 2.0 release.  We'll go ahead and post the report beforehand on the reports section of backstage  as this has been requested a few times.  Look for it in the next couple of days once we can test out the changes.

Your flow makes sense as teams often want to see how requirements are decomposed from a high level item to a lower level item.
