Hyperlinks to artifacts in description?

We would like to place hyperlinks to the artifacts in the description (Rich Text Format) field of our custom made artifacts.
So far, we haven't been able to determine how to do that. When we copy the link from a business rule for example, we get the link to javascript:(void)
so obviously this isn't working.

Is this expected behavior or are we asking for something off-the-wall?

The nature of the rich interface does pose a problem in linking and bookmarks. However there is a solution. If, while your on an artifact, you select the "Email" link (upper right hand side next to "Quick Reports") this will open your email program in within the email will be a system generated link to that item. We are working on figuring out more efficient ways of getting this link.
