Some odd behavior around compare history noted

To all,

When comparing two versions of artifacts, remarkably Contour (v1.6.3) notes changes in areas where no changes have occurred and I'm wondering what's going on there.

To duplicate: Add an artifact that has a mix of text and graphics in separate fields. For our intent, we have a graphic in one Rich Text field and no other text in it.

Update any non-graphic area or field.

Compare the two versions using the history compare option - it seems that the changes note the graphic field although there were no changes there. Is this normal or am I missing something?

Thanks,

Kim

PS. I don't have any attachments. I wasn't sure how to show that. Let me know if they are needed - I could possibly print to file or something.

Re: Some odd behavior around compare history noted

I've tested what you're seen and was able to duplicated it. There seems to be something about the graphic and the rich text. When viewing the actual difference it looks like the html that is parsed is parsed differently such that the system thinks it changed. Specifically it seems centered around the "alt" tag of the image. I'll add this as a bug for the next release.
