Users / Groups - Roadmap Question

We have a couple of questions regarding the users and groups functionality in Contour.

  1. Is there any way to sort the Users? Our user community is growing rapidly and it would be nice to have a listing in alphabetical order. Right now, it is in time entered order.
  2. Speaking of a large user community, is there any way to import a large list of users and have it create these users in Contour? We need to add a lot of users at the same time and having this ability would be very nice.

The quick answer is...not yet. The next release will have a new improved grid that will allow quick sorting of any column. We'll be posting our release date in the next couple of weeks.

As for your second question importing large sets of users. There are no immediate plans for importing users into Contour. However if we integrated with LDAP would that provide the necessary capability? Basically if Contour was linked with a LDAP server you'd be able to do a search from within Contour to retrieve a list of users which could then be imported.

Regarding the LDAP integration - I don't believe it would help in this case as the source list is not contained in LDAP.
We may be able to figure out something though.
