About Contour Report

are designed using Eclipse BIRT, an open source report designer sponsored by IBM and Actuate.  Reports provide many custom capabilities for viewing your data. Contour comes with several reports out of the box and Jama provides additional reports here for download that can be used in your own environment.

If the out of the box reports or the ones provided here don't provide the information you need there are two options available.

1. Jama's professional services team can build the report for you. Contact us for more information on getting started. Once you're ready the steps to submit a report request are outlined below.

2. Download the report design tool and build your own custom reports. Read the section below on building your own reports to get started.

How to submit a request for custom reports

In order to expedite and ensure accurate custom reports we have developed a process for customers to request a report. On average our turnaround time for a report is two weeks from the point of agreement, but may depend on the complexity of the report.

1. Submit a request for a custom report via support@jamasoftware.com

When submitting a request the more information the better. Details on what information you'd like to display, layout specifics, even describing the user scenario is helpful. If you're not on hosted, providing a sample set of your data is helpful, otherwise describe how you have your data configured in Contour.

2. Review of request

We will review the information and if everything makes sense we'll confirm our understanding along with a completion date for your approval. Otherwise if we have some additional questions we will set up a time to discuss.

3. Report delivery

Once the report is created, we'll email you the report for testing.

How to get Started with writing your own custom reports

Hosted Accounts - please note that while you may create custom reports, you'll need to use sample data when designing reports and the report template must be reviewed by Jama prior to production usage.
